BCAAs are not a complicated product category. You’re getting leucine, isoleucine, and valine — the three amino acids most associated with muscle protein synthesis and reducing breakdown during and after exercise. MRM adds glutamine to the formula, which does similar work for gut health and immune function after hard efforts.
I started using this during the comeback block earlier this year when I was doing back-to-back days and the calf was still a question mark. The goal was to do everything reasonable to make sure tomorrow’s run felt okay. Ice bath when I could, sleep, protein, BCAAs. This one stuck cause the lemonade flavor is clean and it’s available at Sprouts, which is down the road.
For the Indianapolis build — 50+ mile weeks in Florida summer — the recovery stack matters more than it did during a lighter training phase. I’m using this post-run mixed with whatever’s around. Usually water, sometimes added to a protein shake.
Worth being honest: this is not going to transform your recovery. Sleep and protein are still doing the heavy lifting. But at 25 bucks for 60 servings, the cost-of-entry is low enough that it’s not a gamble. If it helps 10%, that’s worth it. I’ve bought it three times now. That’s the actual review.
