Roman woke up at 4. Nothing wrong, just decided he was done sleeping. So I was up too, drinking coffee in the dark, waiting on the sky.

Brian came over and we were out the door by 6. He ran the full Spacecoast 2025 with me — same pace, the whole way — so he's the guy I trust to just show up and run. His son is two weeks older than Roman, which means most of what we talk about on these runs is the same thing every time: sleep, or the lack of it.

Garmin Fenix 7 Pro on my wrist: 6.53 mi, 8:26 pace, 55:01.5. Brian's New Balance in the corner.

Same usual route. 6am Florida in June is the only window that actually feels like running weather — sun's up but the heat hasn't landed yet. Felt good. Easy.

We just caught up. That's the run. No splits to break down, no workout to report. Two dads at conversation pace, getting it done before the day takes the rest of the hours.

Nike Vomero 18s on — same as always for easy days. They just work.

Home now. Roman's up. Coffee number two.
